I hope everyone had a good week and are excited for the weekend, I know I am!
Weekend inspiration 02 is actually a “Note to Self”. I do hope to one day make a blog post sized Note to Self, but this is a good start.
I started writing in my journal every morning and it has made me self-reflect a lot more which is healthy for me. Self-reflecting is very important because it allows you to deal with what you are feeling and you can use what you’re feeling to grow and learn from the situation.
Growing and learning from what has happened to you is my inspiration for this weekend as you can read more below:
Weekend Inspiration 02
For a very long time I struggled with myself and who I am as a person. Am I really the person I say I am if I made certain choices, if I let someone treat me badly, if I disrespected myself?
If we made the right choice every time we would never learn and grow. I think the promotion of being perfect and figured out even in your 20s in beyond unrealistic and we need to rethink that notion.
Take some time and think about what you think defines you – and then examine each of these and really reflect on if they’re only holding you back because you’re letting them.
If you can justify something holding you back, think about what you can do to resolve these situations or feelings.
When you do your self-reflection as I did, you will realize that you are attributing your past to yourself. If people are still holding your past against you then it is because you continue to show them that it is part of you.
Growing from your past does not mean forgetting it happened and it does not mean forgetting it happened. It means that you acknowledge it happened, you acknowledge that you survived it, and you acknowledge that you are better because of it.
Every weekend on Friday I will be posting an inspiring or motivating quote to spread positivity. Check back every Friday for Weekend Inspiration !
